Border Floor Restoration Services Swing Into ActionIt was time for our Lagler technology to get to work. Jason was on the tools today and started to work with the main Lagler floor sander. In a short time the main floor area was sanded down to bare wood with the scratches removed. Hardly a whiff of sanding dust had escaped, which is a fantastic benefit of Border Floor’s chosen dust free sanding technology, for both the health of the operator of the machine and our customers. Next came the edges and corners with the specialised edging sander to get right into the corners and clean the floorboards, flush with the skirting boards. With scratches and old lacquer removed we were down to the pristine pine itself across the entire floor. Next came a coat of quick drying lacquer over the whole floor. While that coat dried, Jason moved into the second back room and repeated the process in there. As the second room’s first coat of lacquer dried, the stairs came in for some attention. Worn edges on the treads were replaced. The whole set of steps was sanded down to clean pine and they received a coat of special non slip lacquer specially formulated for potential hazards like stairs. Then it was back into the first room for a second coat of lacquer, quickly followed by the second back room's wood floor and the stairs.

This was a nice little job for Border Floor as we like dealing with people’s communal spaces to keep them looking good and turning them back into welcoming venues for their users.
